Hello Bob. Well, after holding off for years now, from doing this, I have finally taken the plunge and listed my two MOORHEAD families from Donegal. I tried to follow your posted instructions to the letter, however in ONE respect I was UNable to do so. That is, you say to have NO spaces AFTER each comma. However, as you have us start with our e-mail address, in my Outlook program there HAS to be a space after my email address or else the underlining from the e-mail address runs into the rest of the entry. So I had to put a space after the comma at the end of my e-mail address. (Interestingly, it didn't include that comma in the e-mail address). Hmmm??? On musing on this, I wonder if, instead, I should have inserted a SPACE immediately after my e-mail address, but before the comma; in which case I could have supplied the rest without further spaces. Too late now though. But your thoughts on this MIGHT help other listers who are as tentative as I am with this method of listing details. Apologies in advance if my method of posting the information adds to your workload, rather than being totally automated for you. All the best for the coming holidays and new year; and thank you for all of your volunteer work. Frank, and All, I do not think there are any problems with the website set-up by Alex. At first I thought that he was working via "Ancestry .com" and they had a new gen type user site available to researchers out side of Rootsweb. But not so, he has established a Google Account where one can set-up a website for just about anything you wish (within limits), in fact I set-up a site for our golf league members a couple of years back, it is a private site, meaning that one must be authorized to enter the site. Google websites are very easy to set-up and operate all you need is a Google Account, which most have already, if you have "G-mail" you have a Google Account. All things aside Alex has done a fine job of establishing links to outside resources and notes on how to tackle basic genealogy research. His site is mainly directed towards US genealogy researchers e.g USGenWeb. I suppose he will expand his links in time and any website takes a lot of work to put it in operation. Good website Alex Alex Kom's website: "Free Aancestry 4U" https://sites.google.com/site/freeancestry4u/ Bob CDN ======== Original message: It may be OK but my McAfee virus program warns me that this is an INSECURE site......Doesn't recommend downloading.
