Hello, I am searching for a missing Franz Hubel born 1852 in Jabuka, Pancevo District, Banat. He is reported to have been an Oberst in the Austrian Army and eventually settled in Graz, Austria. Our families were still in touch while my grandmother was in Yugoslavia.... but that ended with the war. The reason for my question...... I have a strong DNA match with a woman whose family seems to have always been in north-west France. My question is: What events were taking place in France in 1886? Could someone from the Austria Hungary military be in that location? For what purpose? I know this may be the wrong forum for this question.....
