Does anyone on the list have experience with software that converts GEDCOM files into book-like reports? I’ve been helping a friend with their own family tree, and while I can generate ancestor charts and such with the software I’m using to build the tree (iFamily for Mac), the text reports it creates are very basic and nothing is cross-referenced. I would like to give my friend something that looks a little nicer and is easier to follow. If the software can generate editable PDF files so that I can add in extra pages of things like newspaper clippings not attached to the tree, that would be great. Searching around the web, I’ve come across Ancestral Author (http://www.ancestralauthor.com/) and the Complete Genealogy Reporter (http://www.tcgr.bufton.org/). I can deal with Windows software rather than Mac, if need be, but I would love to hear if anyone has had prior experience with these or other applications. Cheers, Linda
