John, Beth, Thank you for your responses. My Mathias VERBANACZ must have been born by about 1767 so if there is a connection, he'd either be a much younger brother or a nephew of Georg. I don't suppose there is any information on where this family came from before Apatin or general source locations for immigrants to the town at this time, but if that's an incorrect assumption, please let me know.
