I am curious if anyone remembers my Mother and her twin sister, Veronika and Helene Koreck. They were born in Marienfeld on September 16, 1934. My Mother said that they were always dressed the same which she didn’t like. They used to walk down the street singing and apparently the neighbours really enjoyed this and thought it was cute. In my research I think that most of the Germans in Marienfeld were related to us yet I can’t to seem to find many living relatives. My immediate family did flee in September of 1944. I have a copy of a pass giving them permission to leave and they were supposed to be getting protection from the luft waffe. I have also been desperately trying to find my great grandmother who came from Groß Sankt Nikolaus but a copy of a document that I have it lists it as Tripsvater. I don’t know if they are the same place with a different name. Her name was Maria Schultz and was born on January 10, 1894 and died on August 26, 1930. She married a man by the name of Nikolaus Koreck and he was born on March 9, 1886 and died in Austria on May 9, 1968. I have been trying to find the Ortssippenbuch for this area without any success. If anyone has any leads on where I can find anything about Maria Schultz I would be eternally grateful. Nikolaus is not my biological great grandfather. I have learned so much about my Banat history and it really has opened my eyes. My Mother never really spoke much about it but the few things I do know are enough to fit into that big puzzle that people are helping me to put together. Katharina Sent from my iPad
Hello Katharina, I asume your greatgrandmother was born in Triebswetter, and there is a family book : ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Volumes 3 and 4 of the Family Books for Triebswetter by Lothar Renard The new volumes are a continuation of the Familienbücher Vol. 1 and 2, published in 2005. The new books contain about 1,600 pages. The reader will now have an overview of his family from 1773-1900. As a supplement, also included is a free DVD with a digitized edition of Vol. 1 and 2 of the Triebswetter Familienbuch, extended with about 120 pages, as well as the entire Kirchenmatrikeln (Triebswetter Church books) in digital form from 1773 to 1900. The printing of family books costs several thousand Euros, and rely on advance payment of the pre-ordered books since family book authors are not able to do this from their own resources. Orders are now being accepted, and the author would therefore be grateful if you would pre-pay the amount of: 85 € for shipment to EU addresses; 105 € to addresses in the U.S. and Canada The price includes shipping and fees (for both) Either via PayPal to: [email protected][mailto:[email protected]] or by cash by registered mail to: Lothar Renard Gruener Weg 8 53498 Bad Breisig GERMANY For orders from Europe, the author will contact the purchaser privately to provide bank information. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ You can read this information also here: http://www.banatbooks.com[http://www.banatbooks.com] Regards Anni Gesendet: Montag, 08.
