I asked the researcher Staša Cvetković from Novi Sad for help, because I could find no information about reformed church books from Novi Sad. He told me, that the priest‘s daughter took the books with her when she escaped in 1944 and many years later denied to return them to Serbia. I googled a lot but could find no information, if these books still exist and if, where they could be. I also tried to contact diverse reformed church communities from the area with no success. This makes this part of my family tree to a very dead end. I can only suggest a few directions of this (my only protestant) line with the help of DNA matches. Hi It is very unfortunately that so many records were lost. When we were marched off to death camps the Catholic Diocese went to the Catholic Churches and saved the record. Which where also microfilmed by the Mormons. Did the Lutheran and Reformed Churches did the same? If so your best source would be the Mormons. Hi..... I read your email and it reminded me of what I heard about the evangelical churchbooks for the northern Romania region for the Siebenburgen/Transylvania Saxon records. But, I know that some of these books still exist from that region at an archive in Germany...... Perhaps the evangelical records for Yugoslavia also ended up there???
