If you like, you could upload the raw data to gedmatch.com or familytreedna.com, then we could match our DNA results (I'm not on Ancestry, I took the test on MyHeritage, but GEDmatch and MyFamilytreeDNA allow uploading of data obtained by other services). My mother is going to take a test soon, so we would have a sample of one generation closer to match against in a few weeks. It's interesting that you mention Irish ancestry in this context - my ethnicity estimate on MyHeritage says that I'm 20% Irish/Scottish/Welsh and that was very surprising.
