Hello, My name is Cheryl Oberkirsch. I am trying to locate Oberkirsch family members who lived in Sackelhausen or Dolatz. Specifically, I am searching for information on Andreas Oberkirsch and his wife Elizabeth Schmidt. He was born in Sackelhausen abt. 1846 and died in Dolatz, according to a military record I found, on 15 February, 1874. He had two children at the time he died, Franz Oberkirsch born 14 August, 1872 in Dolatz. His sister Eva was three years old when her father Andreas died, so we believe she was born abt. 1870. I have been trying to locate a three volume set called “Familienbuch der Katholischen Pfarrgemeinde Sackelhausen in Banat published by HOG Sackelhausen; Reutlingen, 2007 to see if there is any family information in them, but I am not able to get these books anywhere in Canada through our Library system. I would appreciate any help regarding where to look for information or if anyone has access to any family history from these two places I would appreciate someone looking this family up for me.
