David I have the OSB for Kolut 1760-1895 by the Englanders. It has entry # 3797 a Martin Thees, born about 1805 in Gakowa, parents T. Phillip u Anna Marie. Married 13.11.1827 in Kolut, witness's Martin Miller, Adam Weber. To Katharina Faller born about 1810, no parents listed. This is the only information listed on Katharina. They had 7 children. This maybe who your looking for. Do you know if any of their relatives were living in Kolut in 1944? I have a book that lists all the people living in Kolut in 1944. With some of them it lists where the went when they left Kolut. The Kolut church marriage record does not list parents of either spouse. I bought Jakob Schuy's new Kolut book, which covers the earlier period 1760-1825. This period does not cover the marriage in 1827 but I hoped it might have Katharina's birth and family. Lots of Faller families but nothing matching Katharina's info. The Katymar book by Joseph Pahl has the Martin Thess family but no information on Katharina's parents. I assume the other Kolut book covering 1826 on does not have information on her family or Joseph Pahl would have used that info in his book. Anyone have knowledge of this family or suggestions on how to find Katharina Faller's family? Bill, Thanks for that information. They lived in Kolut until 1845, going to Katymar somewhere between the death of their daughter Julianna in Nov 1845 and the birth of their daughter Magdalena in Apr 1846. Both Martin and Katharina died in Katymar. --Dave Velten From: Bill Herman [mailto:billherm4361@yahoo.com] Sent: Friday, July 11, 2014 7:33 PM To: David Velten; donauschwaben-villages@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [DVHH] FALLER and THESS from Kolut David I have the OSB for Kolut 1760-1895 by the Englanders. Dave The OSB for Kolut has Magdalena born 02.08.1835 in Kolut and she died 18.07.1837 in Kolut. She was the 4th child. I don't know how accurate the information is in the OSB for Kolut. Before I bought the OSB for Kolut I checked the church records for the Catholic Church in Kolut at my local LDS research center. I think the church records go from 1826 to 1895. Bill, Thanks. That Magdalena born in Kolut died young. A daughter born in April 1846 in Katymar was again named Magdalena. It looks like the Kolut church books at the LDS won't help because I need records before 1826, which are at the archives. --Dave Velten From: Bill Herman [mailto:billherm4361@yahoo.com] Sent: Saturday, July 12, 2014 11:49 PM To: David Velten; donauschwaben-villages@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [DVHH] FALLER and THESS from Kolut Dave The OSB for Kolut has Magdalena born 02.08.1835 in Kolut and she died 18.07.1837 in Kolut.
