Excuse me if I correct your spelling: The area in Romania was called "Siebenbürgen". And you are right, the borders were changed post-WWI when the Austrian empire was reduced to what it is today. Some of these towns when I enter them into my family tree give me an option of Torontal or Timmis and I need to know how to decide. Also my grandparents, would say they were from Austria-Hungary, but I think that when they came to the states they were really in Romania and all their papers say Romania. One more question. When my grandparents and their friends would talk they always would refer to Zillasch everyonewhy would they call it that when it was really DSM.
