Thank you, Rose Nicholas was my great grandfather. He married Victoria Karasz. The spelling changes make it so hard to search. Going to church records at FHC I found the 4 children. With each child the spelling changes. Szeghy, Szeghi, Saghi, Her death in 1903 used Saghy and listed Temerin. I assume that means where she was born. Johann (Joannes) died in 1895, Saghy was used there. Sombor was listed there but I never did find his birth in Sombor. I was hoping this was the marriage of Johann and Magdalena. It would explain why there were only 4 children since they were older but I can't find earlier children. Certainly if they moved to Palanka they would have brought his (and her) other children. Boys would have been married in the bride's home town. Nicholas married Victoria in Hodschag. My grandmother, Katharina (Katalin), was born there as well as 3 of her 7 sisters. Back to the search. Marlene I can't attach the picture of the recording of the wedding but I will send it to anyone who would like to see it. My Toth family came from Palanka. I found only found 4 births to Joannes Toth and Magdolena Szeghi. Searching other cities I found the marriage of Joannes Toth and Magdalena in Temerin just a year before the first birth. He was a widower 38 (Francisca Varga) and she a widow 31(Josephi Csecne). The handwriting leaves a lot to be desired so the spelling is questionable. Looks like they moved to Palanka right after the wedding. Although there are a lot of Toths in Temerin I don't see any for Joannes and Francisca. >>Would there be a book that shows TOTH in TEMERIN? >>There is a family of Toth's currently living near Palanka. I would love to find the relationship. I know it is not through the four I found in Palanka. >> >>Marlene >> >> >>------------------------------- >>To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to DONAUSCHWABEN-VILLAGES-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >> >
