The information I have on my g-grandfather, Joseph Rung, is that he was born in Sanktanna, Arad on 19 March 1865. I believe he died in 1942. The family may have moved to Tipar (Zipar) before 1894 as that is where my grandmother was born. My aunt, who is 90, said that her grandfather was the mayor of the town. I think she was talking about this man. My dad also mentioned that he was the wealthiest man in town and had two sets of horses - one for plowing and one for pulling the family carriage.
