Thank you, Anne.... Since posting, I think I found a cake recipe that is like the one we ate in Jabuka at my mothers cousin's house. It uses ground carob. So, you didn't use it for baking? Mom says they used it exclusively for that. The trees grew wild in the area. Eve.... there were some at the rectory...and the school was next door. Sometimes the kids would take one and chew on it on the way home. I'll let you know how the recipe turns out. Rita
