    3. Jakob Haumann was born on July 18th, 1902. He did not get married there until the end of the year 1922, the last year for which records are publicly available in church archives in Hungary. Last entry for him that is available are confirmation records from 1912. for him and his older sister Rozalia Haumann. To find out if he got married between 1923 and 1925 you would have to submit an official request for information to the municipal office in Bačka Palanka, Serbia either in person as a direct descendant or by authorising someone to do this on your behalf because all information from vital records that is less than a hundred years old is protected by privacy laws. Municipal office Bačka Palanka vital records department contact details: http://www.backapalanka.rs/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=30:2009-04-02-13-28-59&catid=20:2009-04-02-12-32-28&Itemid=117 .PDF format official request for excerpt from the marriage records: http://www.backapalanka.rs/pdf/maticneknjige/zahtevzaizdavanjeizvodaizmaticneknjigevencanih.pdf Alternatively you could also try to contact the current parish administration and ask for this information. The parish is not in possession of the original vital records for that period but will often have copies, indexes and Status Animorums. Roman Catholic Church Bačka Palanka contact details: http://www.rimkatbp.com/Engl/Index.html Usually, when asking asking any church for information, requests that are submitted in local language(s) and accompanied by small donation get better replies. :) Jugoslava Ilankovic "Rodoslovlje" Serbian Genealogy Society www.rodoslovlje.com On 9 June 2014 09:00, <donauschwaben-villages-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > > 5. 3. Jugoslava, Wow! This opens up a whole new chapter for me... I have recently become aware of information that Jakob HAUMANN migrated from Palanka to Brazil (I suspect by way of Argentina) in 1925, and either somewhere along the way (or shortly thereafter) was married to Antônia RUSSO. Is there possibly a record of Antônia RUSSO in Palanka somewhere in the 25-year time frame prior to 1925? Also, Jakob Haumann was one of eight children born to Andreas HAUMANN (1869-1942) and Anna REHLINGER (1875-1932) in Palanka. Thanks to your kind response, I have now accumulated actual birth dates for three of the children. Could I further impose upon you for the five remaining birth dates if they are available? *Johann HAUMANN, born ~1894 *Martin HAUMANN, born ~1896 *Rosi HAUMANN, born ~1898 Jakob HAUMANN, born Jul 18, 1902 Stefan HAUMANN, born Apr 19, 1904 Anna HAUMANN, born Sep 15, 1906 *Andreas HAUMANN, born ~1908 *Katica HAUMANN, born ~1911 I am utterly grateful for your assistance, Johann (Hans) Haumann On Jun 9, 2014, at 3:54 AM, jugoslava wrote: > Jakob Haumann was born on July 18th, 1902.
