Trying to dig through my roots, and I am a bit perplexed. I asked for birth and parentage information for Maria Anna Simon (1795, Gottlob), wife of Nikolaus Streff (1796, Gottlob), and mother to Antonius Stref (1821, Groß Betschkerek) - SLC microfiche shows marriage on 24 Aug 1818 - SLC microfiche shows birth of Antonius 20 Jul 1821 So far so good. The Gottlob OFB pages that I received correctly matched the fiche pages from SLC: The first child, Katharina, was the daughter of the first wife, Anna and Jacobus Nikolaus, and subsequent children were from Klara Sika. - Church Record for Katharina Simon https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS6C-V9XX-H?i=170&cat=12709 - Church Record for Anna Simon https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS6C-V9QD-Q?i=184&cat=12709 - Church record for Anna Maria Simon https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS6C-V9X9-V?i=197&cat=12709 - Church Record for Margarete Simon https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS6C-V9XJ-9?i=212&cat=12709 But then I received copies of pages from the Großkomlosch OFB, and there are several discrepancies. - Katharina is missing completely - The first four of Klara's children are shown to be Anna's. - While the Anna Maria seems to match my Maria Anna (birth date), the Großkomlosch book shows her married to Josef Marx, not Nikolaus Stref as both the Gottlob and Groß Betschkerek books do. I looked for the fiches at FamilySearch, but did not see them. Any other hints or ideas I should be pursuing? Thanks in advance for your help! Marlene Straub Perrucci
