Paul, Christina's maiden name was Schmidt and she married my Great Grandfather Johannes Dietrich. Karl Pfaff b. 1838 married Katharina Schmidt who died in 1864 and Karl then married her sister Johanna Schmidt. The Schmidt family came to Freudental from Verbas/Neu Verbas . Karl's father was Friedrich Pfaff who I believe was born in Torschau in 1798.
