Thank you, Anne! That is good information to know. So far I've found no records for a Lutheran, Peter Schneider in the Jöhlingen area. I found an entry in Wilhelm und Kallbrunner book for a Peter Schneider from Jöhlingen emigrating in 1807 to the Crimea! ??? (A lot of Catholic villages there) I think Dr. Karl Stumpp may have confused two Peter Schneiders, but what do I know? There is a lot of good information in his book, but there are also a few errors.
