    3. Thanks Eric. I knew there was a way to do it, but didn't have the patience to figure it out. :)) I've been copying and pasting into Google Translate which is a tedious way to do it. ------- Darlene http://www.dvhh.org/membership/associates.htm#D On 27-Jan-2019 3:17 PM, Eric Jiran via DONAUSCHWABEN-VILLAGES wrote: > Use Google Chrome for your browser, right click anywhere on the webpage and there will be an option to Translate to English. > Eric > On Saturday, January 26, 2019, 9:44:24 AM MST, Darlene Dimitrie <darlene.lists@cogeco.ca> wrote: > > This website  https://www.zvab.com/ > Zentrales Verzeichnes Antiquarischer Buecher > has a lot of older books, including Donauschwaben ones. 1. [DVHH] Christian JOST of Pfalz and Lowrin?
    2. Ian Schoenherr
    3. I might have found the long-looked-for parents of Jakob JOST (oo 1816 Marianna LAGARD; +1849 Sigmundfeld).  They are Christian and Margaretha JOST and I found a couple of their children christened in Lowrin between 1787 and 1795. They had two sons named Jakob/Jacobus: one born 1790 and died 1794, the other born January 1795.  This Christian JOST *might* be the same person as the one passed through Vienna in 1784 and I wonder if anyone has any more information on him.  Many thanks!

    3. Go here for Germany Ortsippenbuchen. They are listed by towns/cities. http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/w/index.php?title=Kategorie:Ortsfamilienbuch&from=A Listing of Banat Familienbuchen: http://www.banatbooks.com/FamilienbuchList.htm A little something here: https://www.werelate.org/wiki/Source:Schmidt,_Johann._Familienbuch_Kernei_in_der_Batschka GenealogyRo has information--but no listing: http://www.genealogy.ro/cont/Familienbuch.htm My search request was: Familienbuchen Banat Batschka and was surprised at the list that came up--more than a page in length. There were also listings for a specific Familienbuch. So use google and bing for a particular village/town book. Good luck! I found out about two of my Familienbuchen library by just googling on the village. Just throwing this out there....I will check the St Hubert books for an Anton Weber (there were many Webers there), but also the suggestion of the Quint surname may also relate in that nearby Nakodorf had families with that name.
