Hello Lilien, My earliest ancestor is Peter Koch. He was the son of Johann Koch and Gertrud BIEL. When Peter was born they lived in Limbach, Saarland (now Limbach-Schmelz in Saarland) in 1725. Their family emigrated to Bukin, Batschka. Could this Gertrud Biel be your relative? I have no other information on the Biel family. The church in Limbach Schmelz would have them in their registry. Hello everyone, I am looking for someone who might have access to a Familenbuch "Familie Biel - Knittel, unsere Vorfahren aus Mórágy, Komitat Tolna, Ungarn. Niederkirchen im Ostertal, September 2008" Heimat- und Kulturverein Ostertal e.V. Genealogie Harry Weber, Ebereschenstrasse 13, 66606 St. Wendel-Niederkirchen I was told by a distant relative that this book exists.  A cousin in Germany tried to contact the author through his sources and was unable to do so.  I will write the author but thought I’d try this route first. I am looking for confirmation and source back to Germany from Hungary.  I am related to Nicolaus Biel born about 1758 and died 1 Feb 1810 in Moragy.  He was married to Catharina Kolep born Jul 1759 died 3 Sep 1817 Moragy.  I think his father was Christian and her father may have been Petrus.  Anyone help? If anyone has any leads on where I can find anything about Maria Schultz I would be eternally grateful. Nikolaus is not my biological great grandfather. I have learned so much about my Banat history and it really has opened my eyes. He started screaming at me and told me I had to use their lawyers, then present them to the downtown office and then after their review, I was to go back to Yonge and Eglinton. The scene was awful to say the least. The other lady in the waiting room was in shock because of his behaviour. What lawyers do people from small towns use???? When I came home I called the Serbia Consulate in Ottawa. The staff apologized for his behaviour and promised that the chief would call me back. It never happened. Left another message to no avail. Had someone contact the embassy in Belgrade and their excuse was that they were swamped with applications. Have not heard anything since nor will I ever. I even had every document that was required, hired a lawyer in Serbia (never heard from him either), and the list goes on.
