Sylvia, Thanks for posting your information. My gr, gr grandmother, Marjorie Donaldson, was b. abt 1797 in MD and I'm wondering if she might be connected to the family of your John. Do you know any of John's siblings? Marjorie married Alexander Chaney and ended up in Meigs Co, OH. I've not been able to find any additional information on her and I'm desperately seeking clues.
