Schlough Viola Doremus b. c. 1903 As it stands, I am trying to get birth certificate for Wallace Joseph Doremus, to see what I can find on his parents, (birth dates, locations, etc) to verify the line to that point. With 2nd son Robert born to Joseph and Lily Lockhart Doremus, it appears likely that her father was named Robert. As I have found this line with a Robert migrating to Yonkers, NY, which is a stone's throw from Dobbs Ferry, it appears plausible that Robert Lockhart, Jr. is her father. In addition, the Wallace name used as middle name for my grandfather (Joseph Wallace) and seeing the same middle name used for Elizabeth Wallace Lockhart, it would look like another probable connection, leading to believe that Robert Lockhart, Jr.'s wife might have been a Wallace. If this proves true, my next step would be to see what I can find on Lockhart family shown and their connection to the Donaldson line, and possibly with the Wallace line. If you can offer any assistance with the Donaldson/Lockhart lines that you have, I would be most grateful. In searching on my mother's maternal line, (Hillicker and Woodbury) I have found several Hillicker lines that also connect with the Donaldson line, but have no information on their connection or lack of connection with Janet Donaldson. There were three Hillicker brothers who married Donaldson girls and they might all be sisters and might connect with Janet, but there is nothing available to prove one way or the other. Minerva Donaldson married Nelson Hillicker Anne Donaldson married James Hillicker Eleanor Donaldson married Isaac Hillicker The Hillicker line came originally from Germany settled in Westchester Co., NY, possibly migrated to Vermont, Canada, and other points in NY. My Hillicker line I am trying to connect to this line comes from Westchester Co., area of NY, and if these Donaldson girls connect in some way with Janet, and also with my Hilliker line, it would certainly be interesting.
