James Donalson/Donelson/Donaldson, b. March 9, 1798, Hawkins County, TN, died April 5, 1876, Ladonia, Fannin County, TX. and wife Nancy Vaughan Donalson, b. August 9, 1797, VA, died April 20, 1881, Ladonia, TX, daughter of James and Sally Vaughan of Hawkins County, TN. Their children: Thomas (my gggrandfather), Samuel, Andrew Jackson, Dave Perry, Polly Ann and James Stokely. Who were the parents of James Donalson, Sr? Family tradition and the Kansas obituary of Samuel says he was a descendant of Rachel Donelson Jackson's family. I have no proof of this. I would like to communicate with descendants of James and Nancy Vaughan Donalson. On one of the Family Tree Maker disks, I found a Frank A. Lousignont of Houston, TX who submitted information on this same family, but when I wrote him the letter was returned with no forwarding address. Does anyone out there know Frank? Thank you!!
