It doesn't appear to be one of my William Donaldson's because the earliest of my was born in Ireland some time after 1765 and died in 1814 (Bath Co. KY). Married and had 11 children. His son William was born in 1811 ( Bath Co. KY) and was married to Eliza Tackett. Died in 1881 (Bath Co. KY). These are the oldest William Donaldson's that I can find in my clan as far as we have gone back. Sorry I couldn't be of more help but thought you might be interested.
