I too am researchingScottish Roots from the US (PA), > here is what I have. maybe someone on this list can match-up with my line! > There is a lot of Scottish information on Donaldsons Firstly the Scottidh GRO is on line There is Scottish name research at http://www.spiderweb.com.au/~frasbett/ There are the Scottish family history centres eg Aberdeen at http://www.rsc.co.uk/anesfhs/ The British 1891 Census is available from most genealogical sicieties or the LDS (25CDs) There are many, many Scottish genealogy sites. Start at Cindi's List as an example. I run a Donaldson one name study with about 1200 Donaldsons about half who were born in Scotland. I also have a lady in Falkirk, Scotland (on email) who for a very modest fee will do research at the GRO in Edinburgh. Great when I get stuck These are but a few ideas/suggestions -- John Donaldson Melbourne, Australia
