My GF came from the area listed above(Kircudbrightshire)and his mother was a MARGARET MORRISON CHARTERIS.It appears that family surname should have been DONALDSON.I am interested in James Donaldson Charteris (my name-sake) who looks to have been the half brother of my GF.JDC (b.03/09/1907 Dalry d.unknown).His father was Benjamin Donaldson b.1875 parent were Hugh & Catherine Donaldson (b&d dates unknown).Other lines are GEDDES,WILSON,BRYDEN,MCGARVA,MAXWELL,MILLIGAN,CHARTRES,MORRISON.If any one can supply any information or ties to the above please email me at the location given.
