Phyllis, Do you happen to have any information about the parents of George Doherty, b 18 Jan 1749 in Augusta Co VA, died 27 May 1833 in Jefferson Co TN? In Chalkey's Chronicles there is a William Doherty listed in 1748, the year before George was born. George was a Captain in the Rev War and a Brig Gen in the War of 1812. He married Priscilla Goforth. Thanks for any clue you might have.
