He came from Ireland and eventually settled on W-1/2 lot 9, Concession 6, Asphodel Township, in 1848. I know that he had two sons: John and Patrick, but there may have been other children as well. His son, Patrick Lawrence Doherty, married Mary Ann McGillan,and had 6 children: Philip, Lawrence, James, Charles, Ambrose and Mary. Their son Lawrence is my father.
