Came to USA between 1835 and 1839. Known children are Mary Doherty, who later married Richard Conklin, and Hugh Doherty, married to Ellen ??. Charles died in 1866 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery. Hugh had several children, George, Charles, Hugh F. and twins Catherine and Dennis. Hugh died in 1875. Hugh F. Stagg is found in the 1920 census, still living in Brooklyn, married to Helen, ??. Also buried in the family plot is an infant Watkins. George Watkins, a nephew, is enumerated in the 1900 census in NYC with Mary Doherty Stagg and family.
