In a little over 5 minutes I was able to determine that the 1850 Patrick McDermott and the 1860 Patrick McDermott were indeed different individuals. A quick check of the 1860 census uncovered Patrick and Margaret living peacably with their children, Mary and Joseph, in another part of Boston. That still leaves a McDermot living with the Dohertys in 1860 and the question of whether or not he married their daughter. Any information would STILL be appreciated. Thanks!
