Hi, I am sure that our Dodsons are related. Rev George Dodson & wife Martha Lockhart Dodson were born in Patrick/Pittsylvania Co ca 1776--thus, their names--George and Martha. George's parents were witnesses to the will of Martha's father in 1790 in Pittsylvania Co VA. They married ca 1796 and eventually settled in Wayne Co Ky where they raised a large family. They moved to Boone/Hendricks Co IN near Zionsville where George helped establish the Eagle Creek Baptist Church He is buried there, but I have not found the cemetery. Martha Lockhart Dodson was living with her son Ruel Dodson in Vermilion Co IL and was listed there on the census. Their land is now Kennekuk Cove County Park in Blount Twshp. I have a list of cemetery readings fromthe Eagle Creek Cemetery. If anyone is interested I can post Dodson stones from Dodson Cemetery. I have a list of Martha & George Dodson's known children. Some stayed in Ky and others moved on to IN, Mo. & points N & S.
