Hi, Good point. This does get a little confusing. The Dodsons it seems enjoyed naming their offspring the same in each Dodson family. I am still struggling with my George Dodson. I did notice the line "aforesaid mariner." Which also leads you to wonder, a sailor with a girl (or wife) in each port?? More likely the two gentlemen might have been cousins?? Same generation?? Do you suppose we will evvvvvver know?? Just pondering?? I really have enjoyed everyone's posts. I regret that I have so little original to offer, but am really interested to hear you all discuss our Dodson ancestors. Thanks so much for the information. The IGI gives us good leads but we all need to investigate the documentation ourselves. It is so nice to get input from others.
