    3. Gina, I posted information on your line from Abner and John Hanks II on the Dodson List and the Hanks List with Rootsweb about 6 weeks ago. Abner Hanks married 1st to Mary "Molly" Dale, who was a dau. of Thomas Dale who married Alse (Alice) Dodson. Alse (Alice) Dodson was b. 15 March 1734 Richmond Co., VA & d. 1802 according to her will (see mention of her will in Baber's book). Alse (Alice) Dodson was the dau. of Fortunatus and Alice (Goad) Dodson, gdau. of Charles Dodson, Jr. & gt-gdau of Charles Dodson, the first known ancestor of the Dodson Line in VA. Elizabeth Dale (another daughter of Thomas Dale and Alse Dodson) married George Hanks, b. bef. 1760 Richmond Co., MO, d. 1824 Woodford Co., KY. George was also a son of John Hanks II. Also Winnie Dale (another daughter of Thomas Dale and Alse Dodson), b. 17 Sept. 1752 Richmond Co., VA md. 2nd to Elijah Hanks, b. 19 Oct. 1766 Richmond Co., VA, d. 1821 New Orleans. Elijah was also a son of John Hanks II. John Hanks II, b. May 4, 1728 Richmond Co., VA, d. aft. 1810 in Woodford Co., KY. He was a Rev. War soldier and drew a pension. He married Susannah _____ and had known children: 1) George, b. in late 1750s 2) Abner, b. 1763 in Richmond Co., VA 3) John III, b. Oct. 20, 1765 4) Elijah, b. Oct. 19, 1766 John Hanks II was the son of John Hanks I, b. aft. 1687, d. ca. 1740 Richmond Co., VA. He married Catharine or Kathrine _______ ca. 1712 in VA. John Hanks I was the son of William Hanks I, b. ca. 1650 Gloucester Co., VA, d. bef. 7 Feb. 1704 in Richmond Co., VA. William Hanks I married Sarah Woodbridge bef. May 1678 in VA. Sarah was b. ca. 1650 in VA and d. after 1708 Richmond Co., VA. Sarah married 2nd to Richard White between May 2 & Nov. 20, 1705. Sarah Woodbridge was the daughter of Paul Woodbridge, Gent., who lived in Farnham Parish, Rappahannock Co., VA. Paul Woodbridge died bef. 2 Sept. 1691 in Farnham Parish, Rappahannock Co., VA. I also descend from this William Hanks I through his son Luke Hanks I. William Hanks I, was the son of Thomas Hanks, b. bef. 1630 Malmesbury, England, d. ca. 1675 Gloucester Co., VA; Thomas md. ca. 1650 to Elizabeth ______.
