Robert, I have much information on the ancestry of Andrew Woolverton as he is my direct ancestor. I descend from his son, James Matthew Woolverton, who settled in McNairy County, TN. This information is found in Royal Wolverton's book, DESCENDANTS OF ANDREW WOOLVERTON, and in other sources. I also edit a newsletter called WOLVERTONS UNLIMITED which covers the extended Woolverton family and some allied families such as Hanks and Dodson. Here is the Woolverton lineage: 1) Charles Woolverton, b. ca. 1660 prob. Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England, d. ca. 1746 Hunterdon Co., NJ; md. ca. 1697 to Mary Chadwick, b. ca. 1674 prob. in VA, d. ca. 1751 Hunterdon Co., NJ 2) Joel Woolverton, b. 31 May 1715 Hunterdon Co., NJ, d. 1795 Hunterdon Co., NJ; md. ca. 1740 Hunterdon Co., NJ to Elizabeth Robins, b. ca. 1720 Hunterdon Co., NJ, d. ca. 1800 Hunterdon Co., NJ 3) Andrew Woolverton, b. ca. 1750 Hunterdon Co., NJ, d. ca. 1812 Maury Co., TN; md. ca. 1780 to Sarah Ann Stone, b. ca. 1760, d. ca. 1800 Somerset, KY I also descend from the Dodson family and am forwarding this message to the Dodson e-mail discussion group also. The Dodson lineage can be found in the book: THE DODSON (DOTSON) FAMILY OF NORTH FARNHAM PARISH, RICHMOND COUNTY, VIRGINIA: A HISTORY AND GENEALOGY OF THEIR DESCENDANTS, by Mrs. Sherman Williams and Rev. Silas Emmett Lucas, Jr., 1988. 2 vols. There was much intermarriage between the Dodsons and the Hanks and Woolverton families. Here is the Dodson ancestry for your Asa Wolverton: 1) Charles Dodson, b. ca. 1649 Henrico Co., VA, d. ca. 1704 Richmond Co., VA; md. bef. 1680 Rappahannock Co., VA to Ann (Dodson?), b. ca. 1654, d. aft. 1704 Richmond Co., VA 2) Thomas Dodson, b. 15 May 1681 Rappahannock Co., VA, d. 21 Nov. 1740 Richmond Co., VA; md. ca. 1701 Richmond Co., VA to Mary Durham, b. 5 June 1686 Richmond Co., VA, d. aft. 1740 Richmond Co., VA 3) George Dodson, b. 31 Oct. 1702 North Farnham Parish, Richmond Co., VA, d. unknown ; md. 20 April 1726 at N. Farnham Parish, Richmond Co., VA to Margaret Dagood/Dagord, b. 30 April 1708, d. unknown (dau. of Henry Dagood/Dagord) 4) David Dodson, b. aft. 1740 VA, d. bef. 1816 Maury Co., TN; md. (I also descend from 2nd Fork Thomas Dodson through his daughter, Agatha Dodson, who married Moses Hanks.) Here is that lineage: 1) Charles Dodson, b. ca. 1649 Henrico Co., VA, d. ca. 1704 Richmond Co., VA; md. bef. 1680 Rappahannock Co., VA to Ann (Dodson?), b. ca. 1654, d. aft. 1704 Richmond Co., VA 2) Thomas Dodson, b. 15 May 1681 Rappahannock Co., VA, d. 21 Nov. 1740 Richmond Co., VA; md. ca. 1701 Richmond Co., VA to Mary Durham, b. 5 June 1686 Richmond Co., VA, d. aft. 1740 RIchmond Co., VA 3) Rev.
