Judy My GGGgrandmother was Lucy Thornton Dodson. She was the daughter of Timothy Dodson and Agnes Wilson. Lucy was born OCtober 6, 1806 in Halifax Co. VA and Died March 6th, 1886 in LaGrange Texas. She married Thomas Betts Sample on April 27, 1825 in Nashville Tennessee. the children are as follows: Margaret Ann Sample Born Feb. 27, 1826 Timothy Dodson Sample (my gggrandfather) born Feb. 27, 1826 Sarah Elizabeth Sample born Unknown date to me Mary Sample born 1831 Cornelia J. Sample born August 7, 1832 Robert W. Sample born Sept 10, 1836 Indiana Sample born 1835 John W. Sample Born 1841 They lived in Davidson County until 1850, then all except Timothy and his family moved to Mississippi then to Lagrange Texas. They all died in texas.
