Michelle, Thanks for all the information. But, I would like to clarify who the William Smoot listed in the first will dated 28 Aug 1782. This is the will of the William Smoot who married Frances ?. I believe his parents were William Smoot and Eleanor Veale. And, his grandparents were Thomas Smoot and Jane Batten. Steve
