Notes for BELL FIELD DODSON: Bell Dodson was one of two brothers who left Syria VA (near Madison) to move to other parts of the country. In Syria Bell worked as a cooper and a farmer. Bell moved his family to WV. around 1900, where he worked as a blacksmith until his legs failed. He then worked as a cobbler. He was known for his good nature and as being a very hard worker at his trade. He was a large man with a full beard.
