    3. I had two hours at the Sutro library on the way back from the airport. This is what I found about William Smoot JR and SR and the usual trio of mysterious sisters: Dorothy, Alice and Thomasin. I think it was the Virginia Genealogy Quarterly (listed as "V" in the Virginia Historical society book--the one that tells you where everyone with a given name is listed in Tyler, William and Mary Quarterly and so on. I can't remember the title right now and I'm very tired, sorry), vol 18 had more information on the ancestry of the Fox and Heale families. Unfortunately vol 18 wasn't on the shelf at the Sutro that day! WILLS OF RICHMOND COUNTY VIRGINIA 1699-1800 P.475 William Smoot, St. Stephen's Par., North.
