I am going to post my info again in case someone new may have come on the list that may be able to help us, as we are still at a dead end and can find nothing else, any help would be greatly appreciated. my husbands grandfather was V.Y. Savage, b-2-29-1876 d- 12-27-1905 V.Y.'s parents were a Savage and the only first name we have ever heard was George, we have no other info here. His mother was either Molly or Dorcus Dodson and we have been told both first names, with no apparent proof of either one. We have no other info of where V.Y. Savage may have been born, except that the concensus goes within around Denton, Texas. Molly or Dorcus Dodson my have not been married at the time V.Y. was born, and have given him the Savage name anyway. If anyone has any info that would help please let us know.
