    3. We have well over 100 subscribers to the DODSON mailing list at this time. I need your help. Due to my web page and this mailing list I am now getting many requests for help from DODSON researchers. I am trying to maintain my web pages, this and other mailing lists and continuing my research for DODSON and many other lines. I can no longer keep up with it all. On another mailing list I subscribe to, the list manager has volunteers to do one particular part of a line and it looks like it's working for all. A lot more people can get help and it also helps those whose lines match to find one another. I would like to copy that idea for the DODSON mailing list. To get this started we need to send our particulars so that others will see them. Give enough information with dates, counties, wives and children so that anyone can look at the info and know they can help with that line. I don't have any resources for DODSON info other than the DODSON book by Rev. Lucas and my own research for Shenandoah Co, VA. I am not an expert on DODSON research. In fact, I'm quite new at this. If you think this is a good idea then please post with an appropriate subject when replying. "DODSON/my line" might grab everyone's attention. If you choose to volunteer then everyone needs to know who the volunteer is for a particular branch. Therefore, I am also asking for someone to volunteer to keep a record of volunteers for the different branches. Two volunteers would be nice so that if one were unable to keep up with the list due to vacation time or an illness the other would still be available. We could have more than one volunteer for the branches who are heavy with requests. Then no one would be overwhelmed with helping others. I've enjoyed helping everyone but I just no longer have time to do look ups in the DODSON book for all branches of the DODSON line, for all states having DODSON, for all counties having DODSON and the many years. I will gladly help anyone needing information on the DODSON line in Shenandoah County, VA as I have the resources and it's my own branch. What do you think about this? Majority agreeable to this? If so, please start posting with your branch, giving as much info as possible. For all of you who have written to me in the past two weeks, your mail is still sitting in my mail box and as soon as I can I will reply. I will get the DODSON News page and DODSON Puzzle page updated this week, I hope!!! For those who are new to DODSON mailing list I have a web page for DODSON which begins with Charles DODSON, Sr of North Farnham Parish and it includes many branches. The page is updated infrequently but if I can get some volunteers it may be updated frequently once again. http://pages.prodigy.net/wchs "Shenandoah Ancestry" Scroll to bottom of page and click on "DODSON Ancestry" or "DODSON News" From "DODSON News" page you will find a link to the "DODSON Puzzle" page. Hope my time this week is spent sending 'thank you' msgs. to volunteers!! Alley Blackford (DODSON List Mgr) wchs@prodigy.net
