Or perhaps John Dods. is an abbreviation. When I was in England there seemed to be a tendancy to abbreviate. Hamps.=Hampshire, Yorks.=Yorkshire, etc. I've seen the muster list, which a breakdown of his personal property--but I've only seen a copy. I don't know about primary documentation.
