My John Dotson/Dodson was born about 1820 in Grainger Co., Tn. His father was also probably John and his grandfather Samuel, then the line is supposed to go John>Lambeth>Charles. I don't know if there is documentation for this. My John, who was my gg-grandfather, moved from Grainger Co. to Polk and Cedar Co., Mo before 1860. He married Martha (Patsy) Grady in Grainger Co. in 1843.
