Does anyone link up with any of these soldiers? All were from VA although a couple served in PA (part of which was controlled by VA at time of Rev War)? Richard Dodson (Dotson) 1) Entered service in PA 2) 1774 served in army of Lord Dunmore 1774 & participated in march to Ft Charlotte 3) In 1777, 1778,1779 served under command of Capt John Minor Commander of Ft Jenkins and Fort Garard. 4) Born 10/23/1752 in Shenandoah Co, VA 5) Moved about 1802 to Western Virginia Thomas Dodson 1) Entered Service in 1775 from PA 2) Was living in Shenandoah Co VA in 1818 was 72.5 years old as of 6/13/1820 which would make date of birth about January 1746. Died 4/10/1825 3) Said that he and brothers Charles and John were Rev War soldiers William Dodson 1) Entered service 1776 in Shenandoah Co VA 2) Born on Shenandoah River 3/29/1758 went to Nelson Co KY after Rev War and rec'd pension in 1833 John Dodson 1) Entered service 1775 from Shenandoah Co VA 2) Born 1751/1752 near Staunton VA. 3) Moved to Hawkins Co, TN in 1801 4) Residing there in 1839.
