Tennessee to Jeremiah Smith and Nancy ?Smith? d. February 29, 1924 Mt.Carmel Illinois married #1 Sarah Manerva Dodson b. 5/27/1857 Middleton, Tenn to Orville B Dodson and Mary Ann Alta Johnson d. 4/10/1908 Mt.Carmel, Wabash Co., Il. Wife #2:Sarah A Lawrence/Choate Children of David and Sarah Manerva: Luther Hayes Smith (my gf) b. 7/3/1879 Cookeville, Tenn m. 7/14/1901 Beulah Malinda Rigg Mt. Carmel, Il. Paul Manley Smith Fannie Smith (Brunner) Alta Smith (McComb) Anyone else working on this line of Dodson's and if so, do you have any leads on this David A. Smith? It is said that there is Cherokee lineage starting with his mother. I do have a hand written record of family births/spouses of Thomas Jeremiah Dodson and Fannie Francis Thompson written by a W.T.Dodson. This was supplied to me by a "cousin" several years ago and we have since lost contact when I had to put this search aside. I will be trying to make contact again now that I am retired.
