According to the Dodson Family History book, Lucinda Dodson Shipman was born c1824 in Alabama or Tennessee, apparently the widow of Thomas Dodson, a Baptist mimister. She married about 1843, probably in Tennessee, Levi Rogers Shipman (b. 1819/20, TN, MO, or TX; d. when killed by lightening. Lucinda was his second or three wives. Hope this helps. B.
