1. Do any of you who read the Smoot/Durham/Hunt paper have anything to say about my outlandish attempts to figure this out? Any additional information I may have missed? 2. The other good book I read while researching the Dodson paper was Shirley Corbari's The Guio-Dodson Family . The book was privately printed about 20 years ago and I read it at the Sutro Library in San Francisco. Shirley wrote the book about her ex-husband's family and has done no further research since then, but she is a gracious lady still living here in the Bay Area. She and I only "shared" Charles and the first two or soThomas Dodsons, but she had good, solid information on those three families. I asked her about the Smoot mess in a letter I wrote her last year; she said the "straight" way I wrote it in the paper is the best she can figure out (but she hasn't looked at this stuff in quite a while).
