Mary Jane DODSON (born ca 1838) was married 13 DEC 1857 in Bracken Co, KY to George Thomas Hitt. Her father, George DODSON, signed a permission slip for a marriage license to be given. He signed DODSON, not Dotson. Aaron Hitt signed as witness. Mary Jane and her husband lived in the southern part of Bracken Co for awhile, then moved to the Bratton area in Robertson Co, KY. I have not found a death record on Mary Jane. I do not know her mother's name. I can find no records of George DODSON in Bracken Co, KY. There was a George Dodson in Mason Co, KY at this time but the census in 1850 didn't mention Mary Jane. Does anyone have information on a George Dodson, including in any surrounding counties, that might have had a daughter Mary Jane born ca 1838 ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
