Hi fellow DODSON researchers, I am searching for the parents of Isaiah DODSON b. 11 Apr 1809 TN d. 12 Apr 1866 AR as the result of being shot through the jaws by jayhawkers. Isaiah was married to Elizabeth M. DICKEY 2 Nov 1837 TN. Their first child James R. C. was born in TN 26 Dec 1838. In 1840 Isaiah was in Searcy County, AR then was in Newton County, AR by 1850. Other children of Isaiah and Elizabeth are Mary Manerva DODSON b. 28 Oct 1840 George Hamilton Thomas DODSON "Bunk" b. 1 Apr 1843 Lydia Elizabeth DODSON b. 25 Aug 1848 John M. R. DODSON b. 17 Dec 1851 David B. DODSON b. 29 Sep 1853 William M. L. DODSON b. 11 May 1856 Benjamin Frank DODSON b. 18 Nov 1858 Roland H. DODSON b. 16 Mar 1864 Isaiah and Elizabeth are both buried in the Dodson Cemetery on Cave Creek in Newton County, Arkansas. Does anyone out there have anything on my Isaiah in their files?
