One of my cousins tried for the DAR and had several lines traced. One of them was Dodson. In 1782 Daniel DODSON had property in Dinwiddie Co. VA in 1785 census(1790) he paid taxes 9 in family, Pittsylvania Co. VA. My line is: Daniel Dodson SR b.ca 1725-30 Daniel Dodson Jr. b.1769 m.
