I have not put anything on the list in awhile , so thought that I would post for any new people who may have come on, we are at a standstill and have been for about 5 years, I do hope that there is someone out there who can help us on this, so below is what we have; Dee Euel Savage born 6-11-1915 in Post, Texas died 7-8-1978 in Dallas, Texas he married Mary Lorene Roach His parents were V.Y.Savage born in 1876 in unknown died in 1938 in Kiowa, Okla. mother--Mary Ellen Everett born in 1881 and died in 1938 V.Y. Savage's parents are who we are looking for, all we know at this point is that his mother may have been either Molly or Dorcas Dodson and the story goes that she never married V.Y.'s father. There are several stories floating around about this and the first goes that his mother became pregnant by a prominent man name by the last name of Savage and his first name may have been George (not sure. He would not marry her so just for spite when V.Y. was born she gave him the Savage name, this was suppose to have taken place in or around the Denton or Tarrant Counties of Texas. The second story was that she was living on a ranch in Okla. and working as a cook and when V.Y. was about 12 years old he shot a man for messing around with his mom so to keep the law from gettin to him she changed his last name form Dodson to Savage.
