    3. Kathleen, Glad to see mention of the book. Is it available on Interlibrary Loan or does your library have it permanently? Is it still available for purchase? I saw this book in the Dallas Public Library I believe back in 1980. I only have a couple pages out of the book, but it brings up MORE questions on the early Dodsons/Durhams/Smoots, etc. The book is also located in the Family History Library at Salt Lake City. I understand that Catherine Gaffin Lynn is still living in Tennessee somewhere & is a devoted member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (I've seen her featured in the DAR Magazine). For those who don't know about this book: Lynn, Catherine Gaffin. THE DODSON FAMILY OF WARREN COUNTY, TENNESSEE AND ALLIED FAMILIES. C. 1974 by the author. The book covers the family of Rev. Jesse Dodson who married Ruth Dodson, a cousin. Rev. Jesse Dodson was b. in Fauquier Co., VA on Nov.. 22, 1752, d. 22 Nov. 1843 in McMinn Co., TN. He is the son of Thomas Dodson and Elizabeth Rose. His wife, Ruth, was a daughter of Jesse's uncle Elisha Dodson and wife Sarah Everett of Pittsylvania Co., VA. There is information on each of the children of Rev. Jesse Dodson and wife Ruth Dodson and their descendants. Related families include Martin, Ramsey, Stone, Garretson, Shell, Curtis, Wharton, Hennessee, McGee, etc. I only have page 1 & p. 7 of this book, so don't contact me for lookups--contact Kathleen Mazil at: kmazil@ix.netcom.com Sincerely, Glenn Gohr ggohr01@mail.orion.org On Wed, 28 Jan 1998, Kathleen Mazil wrote: > Hello everyone, > I just received notice that the book mentioned in the subject > line has arrived at my library.
